The EnviroDisc Recycling process
The process is quite simple, EnviroDisc acts as a central depot to receive, sort and store all discs for recycling. Once the collected discs reach a certain tonnage, we arrange transport to our partner, a specialised facility in NSW where they are recycled using a patented process. This service has not been available for smaller numbers of CDs & DVDs until we stepped in and made it happen with EnviroDisc.
Suggested Procedure for CD & DVD Recycling
For all types and formats of CDs & DVDs - Discs only
- Choose a convenient spot in your office, perhaps in the mail room or paper recycling area, for a collection box.
- Find a sturdy cardboard box with approx dimensions, Length, 37cm, Width, 27cm, Height, 30cm. (This box size when full of discs will weigh 15kgs) Write on it “Recycle Compact Discs Here”. Send out a company memo, and have a quick recycling overview meeting if required.
- Take a few minutes and check around all sections of the office where waste discs maybe stored. Waste discs includes all old, scratched, used, over run, or unwanted discs.
- When the collection box is full to a weight of 15kg or less, seal the box securely, and address to; EnviroDisc, PO Box 79, Hornsby, NSW, 2077.
The person with the strongest arms in the office can then carry the carton to the post office. Job well done.
NB. Before sealing the box please remove all CD cases and any paper or cardboard. EnviroDisc can only accept CDs and DVDs for recycling.
NB. If you have large volumes of CDs for recycling, or require a Secure CD recycling service, please call 0424 059 545 to discuss an individually tailored solution to suit your organisations requirements.
